Once we've measured your stairs and you're happy to go ahead, we'll get started on designing a rail to fit your stairs exactly. The installation of your outdoor stairlift can be completed in a few hours, depending on the complexity of the installation. Our expert team will advise on how long the installation may take for your specific circumstances.

Are grants available when installing an outdoor stairlift?

You may be eligible for a grant when choosing to install an outdoor stairlift at your home. The Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) is available to those with a disability or mobility issues in the UK. If you need to make alterations to your home (including installing a stairlift), you can access the grant to help cover your costs. The DFG has a value of: Up to £30,000 in England, Up to £25,000 in Northern Ireland, Up to £36,000 in Wales.

Are outdoor stairlift VAT exemptions available?

If you're thinking about installing an outdoor stairlift, you may be entitled to VAT exemptions depending on your circumstances. Those with a disability or a chronic illness who require a stairlift at their home may be entitled to pay 0% VAT on the purchase of a stairlift.
